Two New Charts!

We put together two new charts to help make planning your next backcountry trip as easy as possible!

Our Nutrition per Ounce chart lists every item available in our General Grocery (nearly 200 items!) by the amount of nutrition contained in one ounce of that food item! Plan your total pack weight to get the greatest amount of calories, fat, carbohydrates or protein and/or least amount of cholesterol or sodium.

Our second new chart is designed to help you get a much better understanding of your freeze-dried and dehydrated ingredients. Did you know that it takes 24oz of fresh celery to make just 1 oz of freeze-dried celery? View this and other equivalencies in our Fresh/Dry Equivalencies Chart.

I love the charts!! Now I can spend hours of cold nights obsessing over which foods I will be taking based on the nutritional value and the greatest amount of calories, fat, carbohydrates or protein. Thanks Packit Gourmet! This will go great with the new trail books and maps I got for Christmas. I can't wait 'til it warms up enough to get out there again.
